Christine King

Executive Director of the Interfaith Counseling Center

Christine is the Executive Director of the Interfaith Counseling Center and serves as the Mental Health and Wellness Coach for the Nonviolence Institute.  The two organizations work together to support clients and community members impacted by trauma.  Christine provides, within our community and alongside our work, mental health coaching, advocacy, and referral support.  Her passion is making sure everyone has access to care and support and diminishing the stigma around mental health.  She works diligently to connect people to services and support within the community.  Christine has a master’s degree in the counseling field, a professional coaching certification and mindfulness training.  She has been trained in the practices and principles of nonviolence by the respected training team at NVI as well through the Center of Nonviolence and Peace studies at The University of Rhode Island . She embraces the opportunity for community engagement, empowering others and highlighting the importance of mental health in our overall health and wellbeing.
