The Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center is sponsoring a special event featuring Jacqueline Murekatete, survivor of the 1994 Genocide in Rawanda.
Jacqueline was only nine when her parents, six siblings and most of her extended family were murdered. She was inspired to share her story of survival and hope for the first time in 2001 after listening to the story of the late Holocaust survivor David Gewirtzman, who became a dear friend and mentor.
This event will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 11am to 12:30pm at the Woodman Center, Moses Brown School. This program is appropriate for students in grades 7-12. Registration is free, limited and on a first come first served basis.
Teachers can register their classes online at:
Limited bus subsidies are available and a waiting list is established as well. Questions should be direct to info@HERCRI.org.
