NVI Team Strengths

Monday, June 13 was a staff development day that featured The CliftonStrengths assessments, which outlined the NVI team's top talents and provided individual reports with definitions of each of those talents that are specific to each team member.

The macro-view of the NVI Team are as follows:

  • 25% (16 people) shared Strategic Thinking strengths

Strategic Thinking themes answer the question "How do you absorb, think about and analyze information and situations?" They may help you make better decisions and create better outcomes. When teams need to focus on what could be, they turn to people with Strategic Thinking themes to stretch the team's thinking for the future.

  • The top 3 team strengths were Input (8), Futuristic (6), and Intellection (4)

  • 35% (21 people) shared Relationship Building strengths

Relationship Building themes answer the question "How do you build and nurture strong relationships?" They may help you hold a team together. When teams need to be greater than the sum of their parts, they turn to people with Relationship Building themes to strengthen their bonds.

  • The top 3 team strengths in Relationship Building were Connectedness (8), Individualization (6), Positivity (6)

  • 16% (13 people) shared Influencing strengths

Influencing themes answer the question "How do you influence others?" They may help you take charge, speak up and make sure others are heard. When teams need to sell their ideas inside and outside the organization, they turn to people with Influencing themes to convince others.

  • The top 3 team strengths in Influencing were Woo (5), Activator (4), Command (4)

  • 24% (20 people) shared Executing strengths

Executing themes answer the question "How do you make things happen?" They may help you turn ideas into reality. When teams need to implement a solution, they look to people with Executing themes who will work tirelessly to accomplish the goal.

  • The top 3 team strengths in Executing were Achiever (6), Restorative (5), Belief (5)

 

The assessments identify strength themes, and the themes sort into four domains:

  • STRATEGIC THINKING domain includes these strength themes: Analytical, Context, Futuristic, Ideation, Input, Intellection, Learner, Strategic

  • RELATIONSHIP BUILDING domain includes these strength themes: Adaptability, Connectedness, Developer, Empathy, Harmony, Includer, Individualization, Positivity, Relator

  • INFLUENCING domain includes these strength themes: Activator, Command, Communication, Competition, Maximizer, Self-Assurance, Significance, Woo

  • EXECUTING domain includes these strength themes: Achiever, Arranger, Belief, Consistency, Deliberative, Discipline, Focus, Responsibility, Restorative
